Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:112367-DB Court No. - 39 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 22192 of 2025 Petitioner :- Sakshi Pandey And Another Respondent :- State Of U.P. And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Himanshu Kumar Sharma Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Arindam Sinha,J. Hon'ble Dr. Yogendra Kumar Srivastava,J. Mr. Krishna Kumar Chaurasiya, learned advocate holding the brief appears on behalf of petitioners, who are young ladies pursuing their studies and staying in a hostel at Madhya Pradesh. They allege threat perception to their persons, from their father, who is private respondent no.4. They seek direction upon, inter alia, the police to provide them security. Mr. Chaurasiya, draws attention to order dated 28th may, 2025 passed by a learned single Judge in Writ Petition no.249 of 2025 (Habeas Corpus) disposing of it. He submits, the writ petition was filed by the father for direction against his clients, with intention to have them brought to him. Mr. Ashim Mukherji, learned advocate, Standing Counsel appears on behalf of State and submits, petitioners have made representation to the concerned Superintendent of Police (S.P.) in Madhya Pradesh. Petitioners, perceiving threat to their persons while they are residing and studying in Madhya Pradesh gives them cause-of-action to be dealt with by the authority and Court in that State. The threat perception cannot cause us to exercise writ jurisdiction on basis of residence of the father, in Uttar Pradesh. On above observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
