2. This writ petition is filed seeking for a direction to respondent No.1 to add 47 compensatory marks to the actual score of the petitioner in NEET (UG) examinations held on
04.05.2025. The basis on which the writ petitioner seeks adding of compensatory marks is that the OMR sheet and the question paper had been handed over to the petitioner only at 2.15 pm and that due to shortage of time, she could not complete the examination in time. 3. It is stated that the examination centre code where the petitioner attempted the NEET (UG) examination was 2712305 which was at room No.401A of SKSJTI College, Bengaluru, and the petitioner has further sought to secure and preserve CCTV surveillance footage in respect of the said Centre. 4. Learned Deputy Solicitor General of India who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents has made available detailed instructions before us today. It is submitted that the attendance sheet would go to show that the OMR sheet as well question paper were handed over in a sealed cover to the writ petitioner at 1.57 pm and that all the sealed covers were

handed over to the candidates before 2.00 pm. It is submitted that the answer sheets were returned by the petitioner after attempting the answers at 5.02 pm. 5. It is further submitted that CCTV footage of the Centre where the writ petitioner wrote the examination would go to show that the writ petitioner had received the test booklet at 1.54 pm and that all test booklets had been supplied before 2.00 pm. The captures from the CCTV footage are also produced to show that the sealed cover containing question paper and OMR answer sheet were handed over to the writ petitioner at 01:54:10 pm and that she had started attempting to record answers in the OMR answer sheet at 1.57:53 pm.
The captures from the CCTV footage which shows all the candidates attempting the examination in the Centre at various times, including 2.00:22 pm, 2:00:22 pm, 2:05:01 pm, 2.15:05 pm, 2.30:08 pm, etc., till 5.04:48 pm when the petitioner hands over the booklet to the invigilator is produced by the learned DSGI appearing for the respondents. 6. Having considered the contentions advanced and in view of the screenshots from the CCTV footage which are

produced by the learned DSGI, we are of the opinion that the
contentions raised by the writ petitioner in the writ petition cannot be accepted. The writ petition fails and same is accordingly, dismissed.
Though the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a copy of the CCTV footage which has been placed before this Court, we are of the opinion that the screenshots from the CCTV footage are produced before this Court for the satisfaction of this Court and it cannot be directed to be made available to the individual students.
The material produced by the learned DSGI is therefore, returned after perusal.
