According to the petitioner, he was engaged as Beldar on daily wage basis in the respondentUniversity in
1993. He completed 240 days in each calendar year from 1993 onwards. Services of the petitioner were regularized on 03.07.2007 as Chowkidar/Beldar. Petitioner’s grievance is that he was entitled to work charge status on completion

4. During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner placed on record copy of the decision rendered in The State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. Versus Surajmani & Anr.4. Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya Versus Sarwan Kumar5 was one of the matters connected and decided by the Hon’ble Apex Court alongwith the case of Surajmani4. In view of the stand taken by learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the aforesaid judgment, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to the respondents/Competent Authority to consider the case of the petitioner in accordance with law laid down in Surajmani4 and pass appropriate order in accordance with law within six weeks from today. Copy of order so passed be also communicated to the petitioner. The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
