ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 3 20-07-2026 Without going into the merits or demerits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent-State Election Commission and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent No. 5. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is only seeking disposal of the Election Petition No. 01 of 2024, challenging the election of Patna High Court CWJC No.20500 of 2025(3) dt.20-07-2026 2/2 Respondent No. 5 as a Ward Councilor of Begusarai Municipal Corporation from Ward No. 18, which is pending before the Election Tribunal-cum-Sub-Judge-I, Begusarai. 3. Having regard to the above made submission, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the Election Tribunal-cum-Sub-Judge-I, Begusara to dispose of the Election Petition No. 01 of 2024 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 4. It is needless to mention that before deciding the case, the petitioner as well as any other interested party shall be put on notice and given an opportunity of hearing.
