---------- 02/ 09.05.2025 The petitioners have prayed for a direction upon the respondents to revise their pay-scale in terms of 7th CPC w.e.f. 01.01.2016, as the same has been implemented by the State of Jharkhand for all the Non-Teaching Staff of the Universities and constituent Colleges vide notification dated 09.12.2022 w.e.f. 01.01.2016 and also in view of the fact that the pay fixation of the other similarly situated persons has already been approved vide notification dated 30.07.2024 but the cases of present petitioners have been kept pending without any rhyme and reason.
Petitioners have further prayed for payment of arrears accrued thereof and also to refix the pension of the petitioners in the revised pay-scale.
2. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that suffice it would be if this writ petition is treated as representation of the petitioners and a direction be given to the concerned respondents to pass a reasoned
order within a stipulated period of time.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that since no counter- affidavit has been filed as such, petitioners may be directed to file fresh representation before the concerned respondent so that their grievance can be redressed.

Having regard to the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the instant writ application is hereby disposed of by directing the respondent- University to treat this writ application as representation and take decision with regard to the claim made by the petitioners in accordance with law and applicable rules and regulations and recommend the case of the respective petitioners to the respondent-State by passing reasoned and speaking order within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The respondent-State upon receipt of such recommendations shall take appropriate steps for refixation of the pension of the petitioners within a further period of 8 weeks. One of the petitioners is directed to serve a copy of this writ application to the concerned respondent so that their grievances can be redressed at the earliest.
6. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
