The petitioners through the medium of this petition, are seeking a direction upon respondent No. 1 and 2,to release their service books. It has been submitted that Anti-Corruption Bureau has seized the service books of the petitioners in connection with investigation of FIR No. 29/2012 for offences under Sections (1) (d) read with Section 5(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act and Section 467, 468, 471 & 120-B RPC registered with Police Station, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Srinagar on 18.10.2012 2. It is being contended that because of seizure of service books of the petitioners, necessary entries in their service record are not P a g e | 2 WP(C) No. 1030/2025 CM No. 2689/2025 being made as a result of which, they are being deprived of the service benefits. It has been submitted that the petitioners have, already approached Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Anantnag with an application dated 05.04.2025 for release of the service books but no action has been taken by the said court till date. 3. Having regard to the fact that the petitioners have already approached the learned Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Anantnag, which is the appropriate remedy, no orders are required to be passed in this writ partition. However, a direction is issued to the learned Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Anantnag to decide the application dated 05.04.2025 made by the petitioners with reasonable dispatch preferably within a period of 15 days from the date a copy of this order is made available to the said court. 4.
