Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned HCGP for the 1st respondent and perused the material on record. 2. The limited prayer of the petitioner in the present petition is for a direction to the Trial Court to dispose of C.C.No.57405/2019 arising out of Crime No.89/2017 registered by the 1st respondent – police for offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 377 and 201 of IPC within a stipulated timeframe. 3. In view of the fact that the aforesaid proceedings in C.C.No.57405/2019 is pending for the last six years before the XXIX ACMM, Bangalore, without expressing any opinion on merits / demerits of the rival contentions, I deem it just and appropriate to direct the Trial Court to dispose of the aforesaid proceedings as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. - 3 -
