JUSTICE S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR ORAL ORDER In this petition, the petitioner seeks for the following reliefs: "a. Issue a writ mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to expedite the investigation in crime No.64/2023 of Pattanayakanahalli Police Station for the offences is punishable under section 295A, 297 and 435 of Indian Penal Code and file final report. b. Issue a writ of Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to act in accordance with law in granting sanction with respect to crime No. 64/2023 of Pattanayakanahalli Police Station for the offences under section 295A, 297 and 435 of IPC. c. Pass such other appropriate direction/s, order/s as deemed fit to pass under the facts and circumstances of the case in the interest of justice and equity." 2. The limited grievance of the petitioner is that the inaction on the part of the respondents to proceed further pursuant to Crime No.64/2023 registered against the accused persons has constrained the petitioner to approach this Court by way of the present petition seeking appropriate directions. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:28261 WP No. 20842 of 2025 3. Learned High Court Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the present petition may be disposed of directing the respondents to conduct investigation and file a final report as expeditiously as possible. 4. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, I deem it just and appropriate to dispose of the petition directing the respondent - Police Authorities to conduct investigation and obtain sanction, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, bearing in mind the petitioner is aged about 80 years as on today. 5.
