By means by this petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus to command respondents to open sealed cover qua claim of the petitioner for promotion already placed before the departmental promotion committee in the light of Government Order dated 25.05.1997. 3. Learned Standing counsel has no objection in case if petitioner's representation is directed to be decided by the concerned competent respondent in a time bound period and in accordance with law provided petitioner makes a fresh representation alongwith certified copy of this order. 4. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with direction to the petitioner to make a fresh representation alongwith certified copy of this order regarding opening of sealed cover in the matter of promotion in the light of paragraph 10 in the Government Order dated 25.05.1997 within a period of four weeks which may be decided within a further period of two months.
