The appeal is placed in the National Lok Adalat and is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode). Learned counsel for the appellant, Officers of the Insurance Company and the learned counsel for the respondent no.2 are present. It is agreed by the parties that a further consolidated amount of Rs.50,000/- (fifty thousand) over and above the awarded amount shall be paid by the Insurance Company to the claimant-appellant. The compromise sheet signed by both the parties/their authorized representatives is taken on record. It is further directed that the respondent no.2- Insurance Company shall deposit the agreed consolidated amount of Rs.50,000/- (fifty thousand) within a period of two months from the date of receipt of this order before Member, 2nd M.A.C.T, Cuttack in Misc. Case No.457 of 1996 and on depositing the same, the learned Tribunal shall disburse the entire amount to the claimant-appellant. As the settlement is arrived at before the Lok Adalat, no Court fee shall be levied from the claimant- appellant. Accordingly, the MACA is disposed of.
