THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER:
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SURAJ GOVINDARAJ ORAL ORDER
1. Learned Additional Government Advocate is directed to accept notice for respondent No.1.
2. Smt. Nagashree, learned counsel is directed to accept notice for respondent No.2.
3. Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs:
"(a) Issue a writ of mandamus,
order or direction in the nature of writ directing the Respondents to consider the representation dated. 26.11.2021, 22.06.2023 and 24.05.2024 of the Petitioner vide ANNEXURE-F bearing No.DSS/2021-22/62,

HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:43098 WP No. 16570 of 2024 F1 bearing No.DSS/157/2023-24 & F2 bearing No.DSS/2024-25/62 and to clear outstanding amounts due as early as possible. (b) Pass such other order of consequential relief or any other appropriate order or direction as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the ends of justice and equity."
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the bills which have been submitted by the petitioner in pursuance to the work order issued have not been considered and necessary amounts not paid to the petitioner.
5. Whenever any bills are raised by any contractor, it is for the employer to consider the same and either accept or reject the same, within a reasonable period of time.
6. Needless to say that if an order of rejection is passed, the same would have to be accompanied by reasons. Neither of them having been done, I pass the following:
ORDER (i) Writ petition is allowed; (ii) A mandamus is issued directing respondent No.2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.11.2021, 22.06.2023 and 24.05.2024
