The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under: "a) Issue a writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 2 to 4 to consider the representation of the petitioners as per Annexure-C, C1 & C2 dated 18.06.2022 and 12.06.2025 respectively; b) Issue a writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 2 to 4 to protect the Government property i.e., the lake, situated in Sy.No.82 of Sompura village and 48 of Yamare Village, Sarjapura Hobli, Anekal Taluk Bengaluru District; c) Pass any other order or direction as deems fit in the facts and circumstance of the case including costs to meets the ends of justice." 2. The petitioners claim that they are the residents of Sompura Village, Sarjapura Hobli, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru District and that there is a lake situated in their village in Survey No.82 and in Survey No. 48 of Yamare Village, which measures - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37199-DB WP No. 19573 of 2025 approximately 32 acres and 9 guntas. They claim that some unauthorised persons are forming a road over the lake by encroaching it. The petitioners state that in this regard they have made several representations to respondent Nos.2 to 4 to take action against the encroachers who are attempting to construct a road over the buffer zone. 3. The learned Additional Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3 states that the representations made by the petitioners would be considered. 4. In view of the above, we dispose of the present petition by directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to consider the representations made by the petitioners as expeditiously as possible and communicate their decision to the petitioners preferably within a period of eight weeks from date. 5.
