IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 1940 of 2025 ------- Sonu Kumar, aged about 24 years, son of Sita Ram Bhagat, resident of village Tulsikitta, P.O. & P.S. Pathargama, District Godda. …... …. Petitioner(s) Versus The State of Jharkhand .…. …. Opp. Party -------- CORAM : HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH -------- For the Petitioner(s) : Mrs. Vani Kumari, Advocate For the State : Mrs. Amrita Kumari, A.P.P. -------- 02/ Dated 11.03.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Mahagama P.S. Case No. 12 of 2025, for the offence registered under Sections 96, 351 (2) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, pending in the court of Sri Satish Kumar Munda, learned Judicial Magistrate, Godda. 17 years old daughter of the informant went missing. During the course of investigation, it transpired that she had left her lawful guardianship alongwith the petitioner. Statement of the victim was recorded under Section 183 of the B.N.S.S., in which she has stated that due to torture meted by her family members, she had left her lawful guardianship with the petitioner. This appears to be a case of adolescent love affair between the parties. In view of the aforesaid fact, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Satish Kumar Munda, learned Judicial Magistrate, Godda, or his successor, in connection with Mahagama P.S. Case No. 12 of 2025. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
