2025: JHHC:21890 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A No. 1923 of 2025 Raju Kumar Singh, age about 33 years, S/o Ram Pujan Singh, Resident of Village Kanchanpur, Ward No. 8, P.O. Kanchanpur, P.S. Sasaram, District Rohtas, Bihar --- --- Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand --- --- Opp. Party --- CORAM: Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ambuj Nath --- For the Petitioner: Mr. Ashok Kr. Sinha (4), Advocate For the O.P-State: Ms. Bandana Sinha, A.P.P. --- 03 / 04.08.2025 Heard the parties. 2. Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Jagarnathpur (Pundag O.P) P.S. Case No. 330 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 111, 317(2) (4) (5), 346, 347(1), 339 and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, pending in the court of Sri Mayank Maliyaz, learned Judicial Magistrate-IX, Ranchi. 3. On 18.07.2024 at 8.30 p.m., Pundag O.P. Police on the basis of confidential information, raided a flat in Sadan Enclave in Fatima Nagar, Dipatoli, and seized a stolen Scorpio which was parked there. Petitioner was also apprehended at the place of occurrence. It is alleged that the petitioner and co-accused persons belong to the gang of car lifters. 4. Criminal antecedent report of the petitioner earlier called for, has been received. It appears that the petitioner is accused in three cases of similar nature. 5. Mr. Ashok Kumar Sinha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, submitted that the petitioner is in custody for one year. 6. Considering the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. Petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after six months. (Ambuj Nath, J) Ranjeet/ Uploaded
