We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned State Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents. 3. Two status reports have been placed on record by the learned State Public Prosecutor which would reveal that the investigation into the F.I.R registered with regard to the missing of the petitioner’s husband is ongoing. 4. In the above view of the matter, we are of the opinion that no writ of habeas corpus can be issued in the instant case. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. However, it is made clear that the jurisdictional police shall make necessary investigation and make earnest attempts to trace the petitioner’s husband and file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate in accordance with law.
