The present petition has been filed praying for the following relief : - "i. Issue a Writ in nature of Certiorari: Quashing the Externment order dated 21/4/25 in case crime no.1288/2024 and Computerized No. D202416530001288/2024 U/s 3(1) Uttar Pradesh Control of Goondas Act 1970, (State versus Shri Arpit Singh S/o Krishna Kumar Singh) PS- Kacchwa, District Mirzapur." During the course of the argument, it was brought to the notice of the Court that against the order dated 21.04.2025 passed by the Additional District Magistrate, District Mirzapur, the petitioner has filed an appeal under Section 6 of the Uttar Pradesh Control of Goondas Act 1970 before the Commissioner, Vindhyachal Division, District Mirzapur. A stay application has also been filed by the petitioner in the said appeal for stay of the order passed by the Additional District Magistrate. It has been stated that the appeal as well as the stay application are still pending but the respondents are harassing the petitioner and using coercive measures for getting the order dated 21.04.2025 executed. It would serve no useful purpose to keep the writ petition pending. The petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner, Vindhyachal Division, District Mirzapur to pass appropriate order on the stay application filed by the petitioner in the appeal within one month from today. Till the disposal of the stay application, no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner pursuant to the notice dated 13.09.2024 issued under Section 3 (1) of Goondas Act. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
