ORAL ORDER Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 were husband and wife. There was a matrimonial dispute between them which has resulted in respondent no.2 giving a complaint against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives for the offences under Sections 506, 34, 498A, 504 and 323 of IPC and also under Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. It resulted in C.C.No.30514/2022 pending on the file of XI Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court (Mayo Hall), Bengaluru.
Subsequently, it is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have divorced and it has been agreed by the parties that respondent no.2 shall withdraw all the allegations made against the petitioners herein and extend fullest cooperation for quashing of all criminal proceedings against petitioner no.1 and his relatives (other petitioners herein). In this regard, the parties have filed a joint memo dated 17.10.2025. 2. The petitioners and respondent no.2 are present before the Court and they are duly identified by their respective counsel. Together they pray that the proceedings in C.C.No.30514/2022, which was registered pursuant to crime no.97/2022 by respondent

no.1-Police be quashed. 3. It is seen that a criminal case is registered against the petitioners mainly because of matrimonial dispute between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 and there are no allegations of heinous offence as against the petitioners herein and quashing of the proceedings will only result in petitioners and respondent no.2 leading their lives peacefully. 4. Learned High Court Government Pleader has no objection for the same. 5. For the aforementioned reasons, the proceedings in C.C.No.30514/2022 which is registered pursuant to crime No.97/2022 pending on the file of XI Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court (Mayo Hall), Bengaluru stand quashed.
