The petitioner claims to be a son of a freedom fighter. In terms of the then existing policy, he moved an application to the Collector for grant of a piece of agricultural land. In his application, he had urged for grant of a particular land, which ultimately turned to be a pasture/ gairan land. In view of the Apex Court judgment in case of Jagpal Singh and Ors. vs. State of Punjab and Ors. reported in AIR 2011 SC 1123, no gairan could be allotted to any one. The petitioner now proposes to review his claim and urged for grant of any other piece of land for business purpose. 2.
