Impugned in this appeal filed by the appellant under Clause 12 of the Letters Patent is an order and judgment dated 03.04.2025 passed by the learned Single Judge [‘the Writ Court’] in WP(C) No. 1557/2024 titled Zamindaran Committee through its President Shabir Ahmad Sofi Vs. Union of India and Others whereby the Writ Court has, while disposing of the writ petition, directed the respondent Union of India to take the acquisition of the land of the petitioners to its logical end by disbursing them the compensation within a reasonable time. The appellant is aggrieved only to the extent the Writ Court has not provided the time line and kept the process to be concluded by the respondents open ended. 3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and the nature of the grievance projected by the appellant in this appeal, we are of the considered opinion that this appeal can be disposed of by providing that the needful in terms of the impugned order and judgment dated 03.04.2025 passed by the Writ Court shall be done by the respondent Union of India within a period of six months positively.
