Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the detention order bearing No. DMP/PSA/23/19 dated 19.04.2023 issued by District Magistrate, Pulwama challenged in the writ petition has outlived its life rendering the instant petition infructuous. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that despite the impugned detention order having outlived its life, the detenue continues to be in detention. 3. Perusal of the impugned detention order reveals that the same has been issued against the petitioner from acting in a manner prejudicial to the Security of the State on 19.04.2023 and was valid for a period of two years which has expired on 19.04.2025. 4. In view of above, the instant petition is dismissed as infructuous. The detenue shall be released from preventive detention forthwith, if not required in any other case.
