PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 482 of BNSS, has been filed by the petitioner/A2, seeking anticipatory bail, in Crime No.89 of 2024 of Koyyuru Police Station, Alluri Sitharama Raju District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution is that, on 07.09.2024, the SI of police along with his staff and mediators rushed to Doddavaram Village Junction, Koyyuru Mandal, and caught the accused in possession of 105 Kgs of Ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under the cover of mediator report. 2 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. The quantity of contraband involved in the present crime is 105 Kgs of Ganja, which is a commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioner does not deserve for grant of anticipatory bail at this stage. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. _____________________ K.
