ORAL ORDER
This writ petition is filed under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 08.01.2025 vide Annexure-D, for withdrawing his application, seeking for voluntary retirement. 2. The petitioner was appointed as a Second Division Assistant in the respondent – Corporation on 05.10.1995. Thereafter, he was promoted as a Revenue Inspector. - 3 -

Later, he was promoted as a Revenue Assessor. During the course of employment, due to his ill health and prolonged mental condition of his wife, he submitted an application dated 19.12.2023 (Annexure-B), seeking for voluntary retirement. He has also submitted one more application dated 21.12.2023 (Annexure-C). Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 08.01.2025 (Annexure-D) to respondent No.5, seeking withdrawal of the application submitted for voluntary retirement. Since the respondents have not considered the same, the petitioner is before this Court. 3.
The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that, if the respondents have not taken any decision till date on the application submitted by the petitioner, seeking for voluntary retirement, the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 08.01.2025 (Annexure-D) would be considered, in accordance with law. - 4 -

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the respondents are hereby directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 8.01.2025 (Annexure-D), in accordance with law, if the application of the petitioner for voluntary retirement is not accepted, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
