Prayer in the instant petition, filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of direction to the official respondents to provide protection of lives and liberty to the petitioners, who have married against the wishes of the private respondents. 2. On 23.06.2025, following order was passed by this Court: “1. Through instant petition, petitioners, i.e. Rashid, aged 19 years and Najrana, aged 18 years, have prayed for protection of the life and liberty, which is at stake at the hands of private respondents No. 4 and 5. 2. Both the petitioners are ‘Mohammedan’ by religion. It is averred that petitioner No.1 is already married with one ‘Jenat’ and one child was born out of the said wedlock. 3. Credential of petitioner No.1, who is of the age of 19 years and already married, be confirmed. 4. List again on 07.07.2025.” 3.
