For Petitioner : Mr.R.Chandramohan For Respondents : Mr.S.Ravichandran Additional Government Pleader 1 / 8 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis ORDER This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 14.06.2025, wherein the petitioner Trust is seeking for permission to perform Manickavasagar Guru Puja in Arulmiku Kailasanathar Thirukovil at Rasipuram and also Veethi Ula from 27.06.2025 to 29.06.2025. 2.The petitioner is a Trust which was registered on 06.05.2025. According to the Secretary of the Trust, till the previous year, Manickavasagar Guru Puja was conducted in a peaceful manner by all concerned. Thereafter, all of them joined together and formed a Trust and the Trust wants to conduct Manickavasagar Guru Puja this time. When a representation was made to the respondents, no permission was forthcoming. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents based on the written instructions received from the 2nd respondent submitted that till the previous YEAR not even once such Manickavasagar Guru Puja was performed at Arulmiku Kailasanathar Thirukovil at Rasipuram.
