The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Katkamsandi (Pelawal) P.S. Case No. 106/2021, for the offences registered under Sections 22(b) of the N.D.P.S. Act and Sections 18(c), 27(b)(ii) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge- cum-Special Judge, NDPS Act, Hazaribag. On 26.05.2021, Katkamsandi police on the basis of confidential information intercepted two motorcycles from the place near Pelawal police outpost. However, on seeing the police party the accused persons managed to escape. On search, 100 tablets of Nitrazepam were recovered from the said vehicle. It was submitted that the petitioner was neither arrested at the spot nor anything was recovered from the possession of the petitioner and similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court as well as by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, NDPS Act, Hazaribag, in connection with Katkamsandi (Pelawal) P.S.
