ORAL ORDER
The petitioner's son is convicted for the offences punishable under Section 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code in S.C.No.116/2015 on the file of the I Additional District and Sessions Court, Davanagere The petitioner seeks General Parole for the convict. Sri.Sirajuddin Ahmed, the learned counsel for the

petitioner, submits that the convict's sentence is suspended and bail is granted in Criminal Appeal No.2173/2018 by this Court on 02.07.2025 and that the petitioner will have to organize surety as stipulated thereunder to avail the benefit of suspension that is granted and therefore, the petitioner requests for General Parole.
It is seen from the records that the convict's request for parole is rejected on the ground that he was admitted to parole from 10.10.2024 to 23.11.2024 and he has surrendered only on
23.11.2024. This Court is of the considered view that the petitioner must be granted General Parole because of the turn of events. Hence, the following:
ORDER [A] The petition is allowed.
[B[ The second respondent is directed to grant General Parole to the petitioner's son subject to the terms as contemplated under the

Karnataka Prisons and Correctional Services Manual 2021 on receipt of certified copy of this order.
[C] The learned counsel for the petitioner is granted liberty to file a certified copy of this
