S. No. 25 Regular Cause List IN THE HIGH COURT 0F JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT SRINAGAR CCP(S) 147/2024 in[SWP 868/2018] ABDUL RASHID REGOO …Appellant(s)/Petitioner(s) Through: Ms. Asma Rashid, Advocate Vs.
SANJAY GUPTA AND ORS. ...Respondent(s) Through: Mr. Shakir Haqani, Advocate
CORAM:
HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE VINOD CHATTERJI KOUL-JUDGE
ORDER 07.07.2025 Writ petition, SWP no.868/2018, was dismissed by a Bench of this Court holding that petition has no merit. However, respondent-Bank was
directed to verify the fact as to whether the loan of petitioner was fully adjusted and if it was so adjusted, it would pass appropriate orders for release of the proportionate amount out of the withheld amount of the petitioner appropriated towards the account of Nisar Ahmad Khan. Statement of facts has been filed which makes it clear that amount has been released which is also being admitted by the counsel for the petitioner. But grievance of the petitioner is that there was no direction passed for release of the amount. Once the amount is released, the respondents have satisfied the
order. In view of the statement of facts filed, the respondents have complied with the order. Accordingly, the proceedings in this contempt are dropped and contempt is closed.
