ORAL ORDER The petitioner filed this writ petition seeking for a mandamus directing the respondents-Authority to regularise the service of the petitioners from the date of their initial appointments and disburse incidental service benefits on regularisation.

Brief facts leading rise to the filing of this petition are as follows:
2.1. The petitioners were appointed directly by the Mysuru City Corporation on daily wage basis to work as Safai Karmacharis for the purpose of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the limits of Mysuru City Corporation. From the date of appointment, the petitioners have been continuously working in respondent No.4- Corporation. In 2018, recognising the continuous service

of the petitioners, they were invited for being appointed as regular employees by way of direct recruitment. But, their case was not considered on the ground that their age was beyond 45 years. They submitted representation dated 22.05.2025 for regularisation of their services vide Annexures-K and K1 to respondent Nos.4 and 5. The respondents have not passed any order on the said representation. Hence, this writ petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for respondent No.4-Mysuru City Corporation submits that, if reasonable time is granted, the respondents will consider the representations vide Annexures-K and K1, and pass the appropriate orders in accordance with law.
4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for respondent No.4, I proceed to pass the following:
ORDER i. The writ petition is allowed;

ii. The respondent-Mysuru City Corporation is
directed to consider the representation vide Annexures-K and K1 in terms of the judgment passed by the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of Jaggo Vs. Union of India and Others1, Dharam Singh and Others Vs. State of U.P. and Another2 and the order passed by this Court in the case of K.C. Jagadeesh and Others Vs. The State of Karnataka and Others3, and pass appropriate order within 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order. iii. Pending IA(s), if any, shall stand disposed of accordingly.
