Learned State Counsel has submitted that a speaking order has already been passed in the complaint dated 12.06.2025 (Annexure P-4) by the authorities concerned and has produced the copy of the same, which is taken on record. CRWP-6537-2025 (O&M) 2 Whereas, Sania aged about 18 years daughter of Mangat Ram resident of Tanda Road New Abadi Ward No. 2 Garhdiwala Police Station Garhdiwala District Hoshiarpur, Gagan Kumar aged 22 years son of raj kumar resident of House No. 89 Ward No. 11 Mohalla Balmiki Garhdiwala Police Station Garhdiwala District Hoshiarpur has jointly filed a petition bearing number CRWP-6537-2025 before the Hon'ble High Court, Chandigarh, seeking protection of their lives and liberty. In their petition, they stated that they are both majors, that the petitioner Sania has married to Gagan Kumar of her own free will and without any pressure, threat, or coercionagainst the wishes of their respective families They expressed apprehension of threats to their lives, particularly from Mangat Ram Father s/o Bachan Lal resident of Tanda Road New Abadi Ward No. 2 Garhdiwala Police Station Garhdiwala District Hoshiarpur and Tarsem Pappu (Masad/Unele) s/o unknown resident of Near Baba Buta Mandir Tanda Police Station Tanda Distt Hoshiarpur. They stated that petitioner,s Sania And Gagan Kumar have not visited their home after marriage if in future the petitioner,s will visit the Home if the petitioner,s need protection of their life and liberty should br provided. That the Considering these developments and the statements recorded, no further action is deemed necessary. Accordingly, the petition is ordered to be filed in the record room.
A copy of the speaking order is being provided to the complainants free of cost. They have been informed that, should they be dissatisfied with this order, they retain the right to appeal within three days from the receipt of the order to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Crime Against Women Cell.’ In light of the above, counsel for the petitioner does not wish to press this petition further.
