The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Gopikandar P.S. Case No. 23 of 2024, corresponding to G.R. Case No.903 of 2024, for the offence registered under Sections 25(1-B)(a)/26 of the Arms Act, pending in the court of Sri Walter Bhengra, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st class, Dumka. On 03.08.2024, petitioner was apprehended by Gopikandar police at Namodih more and on search, a country made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Ms. Divya Prakash, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is in custody for about six months. It was further submitted that offence alleged is triable by the Court of Judicial Magistrate. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Walter Bhengra, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st class, Dumka, or his successor, in connection with Gopikandar P.S. Case No. 23 of 2024, corresponding to G.R. Case No.903 of 2024. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
