JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH 11.02.2025 I have heard at length the submission advanced by Mr. M. Rarry, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. Nikita, learned counsel appearing for the applicants. I have also heard the submission advanced by Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned senior counsel assisted by Md. Juno Rahaman, learned counsel appearing for the respondents. After a lengthy argument, Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned senior counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that the respondents will not seriously object to the present condonation application if the applicants are imposed some adequate costs for condoning the delay. As Mr. M. Rarry, learned senior counsel appearing for the applicants also fairly submitted that the applicants are ready to pay reasonable costs for allowing the present condonation application. As the present application has been filed for condoning the delay of 559 days in filing the connected Review Petition, this court is of the considered view that an amount of Rs. 5000/- (Rupees five thousand) only as costs will be adequate. Accordingly, it is hereby ordered that the delay of 559 days in filing the connected Review Petition is hereby condoned subject to payment of costs of Rs. 5000/- (Rupees five thousand) only by the applicants to the High Court Bar Association, Manipur for the purpose of assisting relief materials for the displaced people. With the aforesaid directions, the present application is disposed of. Registry is directed to list the connected Review Petition subject to filing of proof for payment of costs mentioned above.
