PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order:- The Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the BNSS, is filed on behalf of the petitioner/Accused No.1 to grant anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No.936 of 2024 of Nallapadu Police Station, Guntur District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 118(1) and 85 2 read with 3(5) of the BNS and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. 3. Brief facts of the case are that, on 10.12.2024, the defacto complainant filed a report before the police stating that she married A1 in the year 2021 and dowry was given at the time of marriage by her parents. After marriage, the defacto complainant was harassed by A1 and his relatives both physically and mentally for want of additional dowry. On 07.12.2024 at 20.00 hours, accused No.1 beat the defacto complainant with iron rod and his relatives beat the defacto complainant with hands and legs and also tried to kill her. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. On perusal of the material on record, it is alleged that on 07.12.2024 A1 beat the defacto complainant with iron rod and his relatives beat the defacto complainant with hands and legs and also tried to kill her, due to which, the defacto complainant received grievous injuries and was admitted in the hospital. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and since the injuries received by the defacto complainant are grievous in nature, this Court is not inclined to consider the request of the petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail. 7.
