Rahman, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr. D P Goswami, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of pre- arrest bail in respect of Mankachar PS Case No. 47/2024 (corresponding to GR Case No. 104/2024). 3. On 17.02.2024, at about 9 PM, Papu Mia went out to bring back his wife Yasmin from her parents’ house. Thereafter, his two brother-in-laws attacked him with iron pipe and hit him on his head. It is alleged that the petitioner Rejia Begum @ Rejia Khatun, who is the mother-in-law of Papu Mia had attacked him with a dagger. 4. In the meantime, villagers arrived there and Papu Mia was taken to the hospital. 5. The injury report available in the case diary shows that Papu Mia sustained some cut injuries on his head. 6. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 7. The petitioner Rejia Begum @ Rejia Khatun is the mother of the petitioner No. 2 Bachchu @ Rizaul Karim and Yasmin Khatun is his wife. The other two petitioners are his in- laws. 8. This Court is of the opinion that the petitioners Rejia Begum @ Rejia Khatun & Yasmin Khatun do not deserve to be detained in custody. Therefore, their prayer of pre-arrest bail is allowed. 9. It is hereby directed that in the event of arrest in connection with Mankachar PS Case No. 47/2024, the petitioners Rejia Begum @ Rejia Khatun & Yasmin Khatun shall be Page No.# 3/3 released on bail of ₹20,000/- each with sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority. 10. The two petitioners Rejia Begum @ Rejia Khatun & Yasmin Khatun shall appear before Investigating Officer within next 10 days from today. The bail prayer in respect of the remaining petitioners stands rejected. With the aforesaid direction, the bail application stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
