HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:32033-DB WP No. 14705 of 2019
THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR ORDERS, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER:
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE D K SINGH and HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VENKATESH NAIK T ORAL ORDER (PER: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE D K SINGH)
Heard Mr. Taranath Shetty.K., learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Venkatesh S Arabatti, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.10 - Lokayukta and Mr. S.R. Khamroj Khan, learned Additional Government advocate for respondent Nos.1 to 5 - State.
2. The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed impugning the order dated 17.12.2018 passed by the Lokayukta in COMP/LOK/MYS/3228/2018/ARE-6 whereby the petitioner’s complaint regarding mutation entries in respect of some lands have been closed.
3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mutation entries were wrongly made in the revenue records by the officials of the Revenue Department in collusion with the

land grabbers. However, it is submitted that, the petitioner has taken remedy as available to him and the revenue entries have been reversed in favour of his grandfather.
4. There is an alternate remedy available to the petitioner which is already taken and as the Lokayukta - Institution has not found involvement of the officers/officials, closed the complaint filed by the petitioner. Even otherwise, under Section 8(1)(b) of the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1984, the complaint is barred. Therefore, nothing remains to be investigated by respondent No.10 in the complaint filed by the petitioner. We do not think that the writ petition survives anymore and therefore, the writ petition stands dismissed. Sd/- (D K SINGH) JUDGE
