ORAL ORDER
1. In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought for the following relief/s:
“a) Issue a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order quashing the order dated 22.07.2022 bearing No.SE(V)RC/ULENI/LE/SALE/ HISA/S1/2022- 23/2696-2702 (Annexure-E) passed by the respondent as the same is illegal, arbitrary and in violation of the principles of natural justice and contrary to the provisions of the Electricity Supply Act, 1948 and the Electricity Act, 2003 and also the KEB Employees (Classification Disciplinary Control and Appeal) Regulations 1987.
(b) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the respondents to and grant all the consequential benefits consequent upon quashing the order at Annexure-E.

(c) Direct the contenting respondents to pay the costs of these proceedings and grant such other relief or reliefs as this Hon'ble court deems fit to grant in the circumstances of the case in the interest of justice.”
2. At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that under Regulation 18 of the Karnataka Electricity Board Employees’ Classification, Disciplinary, Control and Appeal Regulations, 1987, the petitioner has an alternative remedy of appeal.
3. The submission of the learned counsel for the respondent is taken on record.
4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, reserving liberty to the petitioner to approach the Appellate Authority as provided under the provisions of Regulation 18 of the Regulations, 1987, within a period of 10 days from today.

5. The interim order granted by this Court shall continue till the Appellate Authority takes a decision. All pending I.As. in this writ petition, if any, are dismissed accordingly.
