JUSTICE B M SHYAM PRASAD ORAL ORDER The petitioner, who asserts that at his instance proceedings have been commenced by the Lokayukta under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, has sought for directions to the State Government, which reads as under: "Issue Writ of Mandamus or direction to the Respondent consider the Complaint dated 24.04.2023 as per Annexure 'E' in the light of the Lokayukta Report dated 11.01.2022 to the Government received by the Petitioner under RTI dated 06.07.2023 as per Annexure 'F'." This Court takes on record the submissions by the learned Additional Government Advocate that - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:30072 WP No. 21424 of 2024 acting upon the recommendations made by the Lokayukta, measures are being taken to secure the subject property. Mr. G. R. Mohan, the learned counsel for the petitioner, seeks this Court's interference in the light of this submission. However, the petitioner will have locus only if he can assert interest in the subject property and the petitioner's position is that the subject property is a Government Land. The petitioner therefore has no locus to maintain this petition, but if the petitioner asserts locus as a person espousing public interest to protect a Government property, he must avail remedy as is permissible in law.
