According to the petitioner, he filed a writ petition in public interest against illegal mining in Sultanpur Patti, District Udham Singh Nagar, which is numbered as WPPIL No. 49 of 2023, and due to the order passed by coordinate Bench in the said writ petition, he is receiving threats to his life and limb. 3. He submits that in the order dated 28.03.2025, passed in the said PIL, coordinate Bench had directed the Senior Superintendent of Police to submit a report about threat perception to life of the petitioner, however, nothing has been done so far and petitioner is receiving threats day in and day out. 4. Learned State Counsel, on instructions, submits that there are cross FIRs lodged from both sides and it is not known who is the aggressor. 5. He further submits that the proceedings under B.N.S.S. of 2023 have also been initiated. 2025:UHC:4284-DB 6. Having regard to the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, we dispose of the writ petition by permitting petitioner to approach Senior Superintendent of Police, Udham Singh Nagar for protection. Senior Superintendent of Police concerned shall make assessment of threat perception to the petitioner and pass such orders as are deemed necessary in the facts and circumstances of the case.
