JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned Additional Government Advocate takes notice for all the respondents. 2. It is the contention of the petitioner that he being an Ex-serviceman, he has filed an application before the 2nd respondent-Tahsildar, Mangaluru Taluk, and the 3rd respondent-Deputy Commissioner, Mangalore, Dakshina Kannada District, seeking grant of agricultural lands under - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:33566 WP No. 24681 of 2024 the provisions of the Karnataka Land Grant Rules, 1969. The application was filed on 31.08.2024 and no orders have been passed on the said application till date. However, learned Counsel for the petitioner also submits that the petitioner has been informed that there are no agricultural lands available for grant in favour of the petitioner. 3. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of with a specific direction to the 3rd respondent-Deputy Commissioner, Mangalore, Dakshina Kannada District to consider the application filed by the petitioner and pass necessary orders, if not in respect of agricultural lands, but allotting a house site in terms of the Circular issued by the State Government, if agricultural lands are not available in the Taluk for grant in favour of the petitioner. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of 3 months from the date of the certified copy of this order. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:33566 WP No. 24681 of 2024 4.
