Public Prosecutor appearing for the State respondent. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, wherein the petitioner, namely, Aditya Saikia, has prayed for grant of bail in connection with North Guwahati P.S. Case No. 161/2024 under Section 69 of the BNS. Page No.# 2/2 The petitioner was in a live in relationship with the girl and because of their association, the girl became pregnant and at that time, the petitioner left her. She even went to his house, but his family members did not co-operate and asked the girl to have her pregnancy terminated by taking medicine. The petitioner submits that he is an unemployed person and totally dependent on his parents and that is the reason he asked the girl to wait for some time. I have considered the submissions of both sides. Considering all the facts, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner does not deserve to be detained in custody. As such, the bail application is allowed. Accordingly, the petitioner, Aditya Saikia, shall be released on bail of Rs.20,000/- with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Amingaon, Assam.
