CRWP-6388-2025(O&M) 1 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH CRWP-6388-2025(O&M) Date of decision: 16.06.2025 Aafia and another … Petitioners Versus State of Haryana and others … Respondents CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE PANKAJ JAIN Present: Mr. Munfaid Khan, Advocate, for the petitioners. Ms. Aditi Girdhar, AAG, Haryana. Mr. Nasir Jamal, Advocate, for respondent No.4. *** PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 to 9. Notice of motion. Ms. Aditi Girdhar, learned Assistant Advocate General, Haryana, who is present in Court on advance copy, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents. Whereas, Mr. Nasir Jamal, Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.4. As per the petitioners, they have married on 02.06.2025 against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 9, who happen to be the family members of petitioner No.1. RAJAN KUMAR 2025.06.16 16:44 I am approving this document CRWP-6388-2025(O&M) 2 Both the petitioners have claimed themselves to be major relying upon Aadhar cards indicating that petitioner No.1-Aafia is 17.10.2002 born and petitioner No.2-Sajid Khan is 12.04.2001 born. Without commenting on the legality and validity of the marriage, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 to look into the representation dated 05.06.2025 (Annexure P-4) submitted by the petitioners. Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondents No.4 to 9 in his presence, so that the parties get rid off their ill feelings and live amicably. The petition stands disposed off. ( Pankaj Jain ) Judge 16.06.2025 Rajan Whether speaking / reasoned: YES/NO Whether Reportable: YES/NO RAJAN KUMAR 2025.06.16 16:44 I am approving this document
