Heard Sri Gaurav Subramanyam, learned counsel for the petitioner. None appears for the respondent. 2. Present Civil Petition is filed under Section 24 of the Code of the Civil Procedure with the following prayer: To pass a Judgment and decree in favour of the Petitioner dissolving the marriage solemnized between the Petitioner and the Respondent on 19.06.2011 as per Hindu Rites, Customs and Usages at Nanjamma - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:42427 CP No. 469 of 2024 Muddegowda Samudhaya Bhavana, K.R.S. road, Mysore, by granting the Decree of Divorce." 3. Facts in the nutshell for disposal of the present petition are as under : 3.1 A matrimonial case came to be filed in M.C. No.123/2023 on the file of Civil Judge (Senior Division), Maddur for the relief of divorce by the respondent. 3.2 The matter is pending before the Court for last 2 years. In the meantime, petitioner/wife has filed the present petition for transfer of the said case from Civil Judge (Senior Division), Maddur to Mysore for disposal of the case on account of the fact that the petitioner/wife is having 2 children aged 11 years and 7 years respectively and there is a threat if she visits the court at Maddur. 4. Having perused the material on record, taking note of the number of cases pending before the Court at Mysore and the Court at Maddur, resolution of the dispute - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:42427 CP No. 469 of 2024 before the Court at Maddur will be speedier than the disposal of the cases at Mysore. 5. Further, the apprehension expressed by the petitioner that there is a threat to her life if she visits the Maddur can be quelled by directing the petitioner to file an application before the concerned Court seeking permission to participate effectively in the matrimonial proceedings through video conferencing facility. 6. If the petitioner is not having necessary infrastructure to participate in the case on her own, she may make best utilisation of the facilities available at E-seva Kendra at Mysore Court wherein not only the computer and internet facility is available, but there is also sufficient and comfortable infrastructure to participate through videoconference, that too free of cost. 7. Reserving the liberty for the petitioner to file necessary application and if any such application is filed, the learned trial Judge at Maddur shall allow the same. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:42427 CP No. 469 of 2024 8.
