The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following relief:- "Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 02 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 25.4.2025 regarding the correction of date of birth of his son into admission register of Class Fifth (V) at Primary School, Ramnagar, Mungra Badshahpur, District - Jaunpur within stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner made a request that the correction in the admission register of Class Vth of the petitioner of the Primary School, Ramnagar, Mungra Badshahpur, District - Jaunpur may be directed to be carry out by respondent no. 3 who is a competent authority for correction of date of birth in the admission register. 3. Sri Tej Bhan Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no. 3 has undertaken that if the petitioner moves an application for correction of his date of birth in admission register before respondent no. 3, the correction shall be carried out within a week. 4. As per undertaking given by the learned counsel for respondent no. 3, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned authority by way of an application within two days after obtaining the certified copy of this order. If the petitioners moves such an application, the authority concerned is directed to carry out the requisite correction in the admission register in accordance with law within a week. 5.
