The present writ petition has been filed with a prayer for quashing and setting aside the order dated 05.02.2022 issued by the Secretary (Social Welfare), Government of Manipur, by which the claim of the petitioners for inclusion of the post of Protection Officer and Legal cum Probation Officer as one of the feeder post in the proposed/draft recruitment rules for Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department, have been rejected. LAIREN MAYUM INDRAJ EET SINGH Digitally signed by LAIRENMAYU M INDRAJEET SINGH Date: 2025.10.06 16:32:56 +05'30' Page 2 It has been submitted by both the learned counsel appearing for the parties that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the proposed/draft recruitment rules has been cancelled by the government by issuing an order dated 06.06.2025 issued by the Director(Social Welfare), Government of Manipur by stating that a fresh new draft for the amendment of the recruitment rules for the post of Deputy Director shall be notified after considering all the relevant quarters for the benefit of all stakeholders concerned. In the view of the said subsequent development, it has been submitted at the Bar that the present writ petition may be closed. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition as well as the connected application, are hereby closed. JUDGE Indrajeet
