By means of the present criminal writ petition, the petitioner has sought the indulgence of this Court for a direction to expedite the adjudication of the application filed under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Criminal Case No. 2812 of 2019 State Vs. Pradeep Arora, is pending adjudication before the learned Trial Court since 07.02.2023, this is a gross miscarriage of justice and requires urgent intervention from this Court. He further submits that on 07.02.2023, application under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. was filed by the petitioner and thereafter, the arguments were concluded. Speedy justice is a fundamental right of the petitioner. 1 2025:UHC:4515 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner made an innocuous prayer to expedite the adjudication of the application filed by the petitioner under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. 5. Learned State Counsel has no objection to such request made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 6. Accordingly, the present criminal writ petition is allowed, with a direction to the learned Trial Court to adjudicate and decide the application filed by the petitioner under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. on 07.02.2023, expeditiously within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
