Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Barsol P.S. Case No. 01 of 2025 for the offences registered under sections 20(b)ii(B), 25/29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge- cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S. Act, East Singhbhum at Jamshedpur.
It was submitted that 8 kgs. of cannabis were recovered from a bus by which the petitioner was travelling. It was further submitted that the quantum of seized cannabis comes within the purview of intermediary quantity. It was further submitted that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and this fact has been mentioned at paragraph-18 of this Bail Application. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S. Act, East Singhbhum at Jamshedpur, in connection with Barsol P.S. Case No. 01 of 2025.
