The petitioner alleges that certain members of the Society have become ineligible to continue as members as some of them reside outside the area of operation of the Society and some others are not active members as provided under Section 16B(2) of the Kerala Co- operative Societies Act, 1969 [for short, ‘the Act’]. The petitioner has submitted Ext.P3 representation before the respondent seeking a declaration that these persons have ceased to be members, in exercise of powers under Section 16(4) of the Act. The limited prayer of the petitioner is for a consideration of Ext.P3 by the respondent. 2. In the facts and circumstances of the WP(C) NO.14324 OF 2025 3 2025:KER:29773 case, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P3 with notice to the petitioner and the persons named therein, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the contentions of the petitioner in Ext.P3. The writ petition is disposed of.
