Public Prosecutor The Court made the following Order: The petitioner is arraigned as Accused No.5 in Crime No.2139 of 2020 of Anakapalli Town Police Station, Visakhapatnam District, for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 20 b(ii)(C), 25 read with Section 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was sent to judicial custody on 12.09.2024. It is submitted that the petitioner had underwent more than 180 days in judicial custody and the charge sheet is yet to be filed. 3. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner that, the petitioner has completed more than 180 days in judicial custody and the police are yet to file a charge sheet. The petitioner is entitled for 2 the statutory bail. Therefore, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, subject to the following conditions:- i) The petitioner shall be enlarged on bail upon furnishing a personal bond for Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only), along with two sureties for a like sum, to the satisfaction of the I Additional Junior Civil Judge – Cum – XI Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, Anakapalli, Visakhapatnam District. ii) The petitioner shall cooperate with the investigation and attend the police station as and when required. 4. With the above conditions, the criminal petition is allowed.
