PATIL - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:50830-DB C.C.C. No.686/2024 ORAL ORDER (PER: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIJAYKUMAR A. PATIL) This contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 09.10.2023 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.No.4334/2023. The operative portion of the said order reads as under: "11. Needless to state that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent-SLAO on 30.10.2023 at 11.00 a.m., without any further notice with all the relevant documents in support of his claim. The respondent-SLAO shall be at liberty to call for such other further particulars as required for effective determination of compensation. All the exercise shall be completed in passing the award within a outer limit of eight weeks from 30.10.2023." 2. The accused has filed affidavit indicating that as per the direction of the learned Single Judge, award came to be passed on 09.11.2023. This Court has noticed that the award dated 09.11.2023 was not approved. 3. Today, a memo is filed indicating that award dated 09.11.2023 has been approved by the competent authority. In - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:50830-DB C.C.C. No.686/2024 view of passing of the award and its approval, the order of the learned Single Judge is complied. 4. In view of passing of the award and its approval, the accused shall take immediate steps to release the amount. It is needless to observe that the complainant is at liberty to seek reference, if so advised. 5. With the above liberty, the contempt proceedings are dropped.
