The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although it is true that the applications filed by the petitioner under the provisions of Karnataka Land Reform Act, 1964 seeking grant of occupancy rights have been dismissed by the competent Authority and later by the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal, nevertheless, the petitioner has now made an application to the Deputy Commissioner, Chikamagaluru District to reconsider the application and grant occupancy right to the petitioner. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:34020 WP No. 27416 of 2024 3. Such prayer made by the petitioner cannot be considered. 4. When admittedly, the application filed by the petitioner and the rival claimant have been dismissed at the hands of the competent Authority and the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal, such direction cannot be issued to the Deputy Commissioner or competent Authority to reconsider the application.
