Side) 1/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Crl.O.P.No.17991 of 2025 ORDER The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police, for the offences punishable under Sections 3(2)(a), 4(1) and 5(1)(a) of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 in Crime No.21 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused was running a brothel house in Periyamedu, Chennai. Hence, the case. 3. The contention of the learned counsel for petitioner is that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the alleged offence. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Crl.O.P.No.17991 of 2025 4.The learned Government Advocate strongly opposed the petitioner’s contention submitting that petitioner/A1 is a native of Odisha and he is the owner of brothel house. Two victims aged about 26 and 13 years were rescued from the brothel house. He further submitted that the co- accused/A2, who is a pimp, has been arrested and released on bail 5.Considering the submissions made and on perusal of the material it is seen that the petitioner/A1 is running a brothel house and A2 is the pimp. A2 has been arrested and let out on bail. From the brothel house two victims rescued. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
